Stuck In The Dark Mac OS

broken image

I was messing around with the windows side of my computer (Windows 10) today and accidentally downloaded viruses/adware/malware (a package of them?). It really messed up my Windows side, but I got an Anti-Malware software and went through a lot of processes to remove anything harmful and get it working right again. Everything is fine on my windows side and is back to normal, but then I tried going back to my Mac OS by restarting my computer and holding down 'alt' and when it booted back up, the only partitions it showed me was 'Windows'. Normally it shows me 'Windows' and 'Macintosh HD'. Then I went into the Boot Camp Control Panel to restart from Mac OS there, but again the only thing it showed me was 'Boot Camp Windows' - no Mac OS. Lastly I tried to shut off the computer and hold Command+Option+P+R keys, but it did nothing and it booted straight into Windows (it boots straight into windows on every restart now). However, the windows disk management application shows my BootCamp drive, and my Primary Partition (Where my Mac OS was/is) and it it says Healthy under the partition status - although it won't let me click 'Properties' or 'Open' on it without receiving an error. In the Optimize Drives application I also see both drives, but the Primary Mac OS drive states that it needs optimization, but similar to the disk management application, it won't let me click on anything for it.

I really need help as I am just waiting to be able to get back to my original computer. Thanks!

Cancel and restart. If you have stuck downloads in the Mac App Store or updates that won't start.

  1. My Mac won't turn on — now what? This may sound obvious, but check to see if your Mac has.
  2. When running in Mac OS Mojave's dark mode, clicking in Excel's formula bar to edit other than a simple formula or function, some of the colors Excel assigns to the different components of the formula are too dark to see the formula component against the dark formula bar background. This makes it imp.
